Designed as a contemporary interpretation of Kerala's traditional residential architecture, this conceptual home embraces climate-responsive design, generous roof overhangs, handcrafted detailing and landscaped courtyards. The residence is planned around a private swimming pool, with every major living space and bedroom opening towards gardens, creating a seamless relationship between architecture and nature while ensuring complete visual privacy. The floor plans position the dining, living and deck as extensions of the landscaped courtyard, reinforcing the pool as the heart of the home.
A defining feature of the design is its carefully layered spatial hierarchy. Separate entrances for visitors, residents and service staff allow each movement path to function independently without compromising privacy. The office above the parking level is directly connected to the residence through an internal staircase, enabling the workspace to function independently while remaining integrated with the home. This thoughtful zoning creates a clear distinction between public, private and service domains, enhancing both convenience and security.
The landscape is conceived as an integral architectural element rather than an afterthought. The site is gently levelled and terraced to correspond with the floor levels, allowing lawns and gardens to flow naturally around the built form. Every room is framed by greenery, while the central courtyard and pool become the visual and experiential anchor of the residence. The upper floor accommodates two additional bedrooms, a home theatre and private balconies overlooking the landscaped courts, maintaining uninterrupted connections to the outdoors throughout the home.
