Designed as a dedicated veterinary diagnostic facility for the Nehru Zoological Park, the project provides modern clinical and laboratory spaces that support the health, diagnosis, and treatment of the zoo's diverse animal population. The planning prioritizes efficient movement between consultation, laboratory, and staff areas while maintaining a calm and organized working environment for veterinary professionals.
The architecture adopts a restrained, nature-sensitive language that responds to its unique setting within the zoo. Earth-toned finishes and textured surfaces were selected to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, allowing the building to sit quietly within its forested context rather than dominate it. A welcoming central entrance porch establishes a clear identity while offering a shaded arrival space for staff and visitors.
Long vertical windows introduce abundant natural daylight into the interiors while framing views of the surrounding greenery. These openings reduce the reliance on artificial lighting, create a healthier working environment, and strengthen the visual connection between the building and its natural surroundings. Native planting around the building further reinforces the landscape character, ensuring that the facility integrates harmoniously into the zoo environment while providing a durable, functional, and contemporary veterinary infrastructure.
