The Malathi Residence is a 4,000 sq.ft G+1 bungalow delivered as a turnkey Design & Build project, covering architectural design, engineering, interior detailing, and complete execution. Planned in a contemporary architectural vocabulary, the structure is optimized with clean geometries, consolidated service cores, and a clear circulation spine that links living spaces with a landscaped rear garden.

Located in a high-exposure coastal zone in Vedaranayam, the project incorporates enhanced RCC structural detailing suited for cyclonic wind loads and heavy monsoon conditions. The building envelope uses weather-resistant materials, corrosion-protected reinforcement, and efficient roof drainage systems to ensure long-term durability in a saline environment.

The interior program is finished to a high-end specification, with extensive use of solid teak wood across doors, furniture, paneling, and key interior elements. The material palette was selected for its durability, natural elegance, and suitability for humid coastal climate conditions. Teak detailing is complemented by premium finishes, concealed lighting, and a modern spatial arrangement to create a refined yet warm interior environment.

Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services are fully integrated into the design, with careful coordination during execution to maintain precision and finish quality. The result is a climate-responsive, structurally resilient, and aesthetically refined residence that balances contemporary design with long-term performance.
